Battery icon not updating Dirty chat no sign up no video

They do not last and the Blink camera can not detect their charge correctly. This was the first time we've received a battery warning, although we've had to replace batteries many times. Before I had time to replace them, the "replace" indicator went away and the "ok" message returned, even though the batteries were dead.

Some modern devices may not require battery calibration at all.For example, Apple recommends battery calibration for older Macs with user-replaceable batteries, but says it’s not required for modern portable Macs with built-in batteries. How do you know the low battery indicator is not working if you've only had the system for 7 months and the batteries are supposed to last 2 years? Hi @patgperry, The battery health is updated when the sync module sends health checks to the camera (this occurs multiple times throughout the day) or when a camera function occurs such as live view. If Blink isn't going to fix it, they should remove it as a supposed feature, and remove it from each camera's Settings screen. There was no battery warning from Windows—in fact, you recently checked and Windows said you had 30% battery power left. Even if you treat your laptop’s battery properly, its capacity will decrease over time.

Its built-in power meter estimates how much juice available and how much time on battery you have left—but it can sometimes give you incorrect estimates.

Check your device manufacturer’s documentation to learn whether battery calibration is necessary on your device or not.

Recalibrating your battery is simple: just let the battery run from 100% capacity straight down to almost dead, and then charging it back to full.

This is a high priority of ours, as we realize the inconvenience, and the misunderstanding it can cause customers. I've had two indoor cameras stop working completely a day after a status reading as OK.

I am guessing the voltage just dropped off too suddenly for the health check to catch it. This is the most logical explanation I've been given so far, and I appreciate it.

Calibrating the battery won’t give you longer battery life, but it will give you more accurate estimates of how much battery power your device has left.
