It is about 30 miles south of Redding and 130 miles north of Sacramento.Two of Red Bluff's most popular events are the Red Bluff Round-Up and Tehama District Fair.
It is about 31 miles (50 km) south of Redding, 40 miles (64 km) northwest of Chico, and 131 miles (211 km) north of Sacramento. Most of the native population of the area are thought to have died in a malaria epidemic or smallpox epidemic brought by trappers in the early 1830s, shortly before white settlers arrived in the 1840s.
