He was the person who would help other people in trouble in whatever way he could.
He was not a man seeking riches but was a man rich in kindness, goodness and friendliness to his fellow man.
Gratitude, humor, quick wit, and an easy going nature were present in Ardis's life.
Her deep and ever growing faith in God was interwoven in the fabric of her life. So often she was found selflessly putting the needs of others above her own.

He loved going to breakfast and happy hour with the locals. People who knew Darwyn said they wanted to come back as his dogs! He even heated the garage, not for the vehicles, but for the dogs and had a mattress in there for them to sleep on. He loved to travel, sometimes protesting to his wife! The grandkids loved to go to breakfast with him whenever they got the chance. He was the person that stopped on the road to give assistance to weary travelers who didn't even know him.
